Both the Finnish Engineer Association and the Finnish Seamen Union have announced their intention to enter into strike on Thursday 2nd of April at 14:00. This action is a supportive strike to the union members working on Finnish ice-breakers, Containerships said in its press release.
Would no compromise be found between the Union members working on Finnish Ice-breakers and their employers, the strike will mean that vessels employing Finnish crew will not be handled in Finnish ports.
