Hapag-Lloyd restructures and enhances its Asia to Africa network

Hapag-Lloyd will restructure and enhance its existing and dedicated Asia to Africa network, currently comprising of WSX (Asia - West Africa Express) and SA2 (South Africa Asia Express 2).

Effective beginning of February 2016, Hapag-Lloyd will re-instate an additional dedicated South African – Asia service (SA1). Simultaneously we will re-structure the existing WSX to become a dedicated Asia – West Africa product with an improved port coverage in West Africa and Asia.

Hapag-Lloyds future direct Asia to Africa network will comprise of three services - SA1, SA2 and WSX – that are designed to meet the requirements of key markets and trades, and consequently enabling to offer:
 Weekly, fixed day and direct connection between Asia and West Africa
 Broad coverage of Asian as well as West African key ports
 Continue to offer two sailings per week between Asian and South African main ports through dedicated services
