Throughput of Neva-Metal (Saint-Petersburg) down 6% to 224,000 t in Jan'16

In January 2015, Neva-Metal CJSC (stevedoring company of Severstal) handled about 224,000 t of cargo (-6%, year-on-year), the company’s press center told IAA PortNews.

Container throughput totaled about 5,800 TEUs.

CJSC Neva-Metal is part of a transport division of Severtal Russian Steel of Severstal Group. Neva-Metal specializes in handling ferrous metals exported by Cherepovetsk Severstal (60% of the stevedore’s total throughput), secondary metals from Severstal-Vtormet and containerized cargo at the berths located in the 3rd Cargo Area of Big Port St. Petersburg. Severstal is one of the world’s leading vertically integrated steel and steel related mining companies.
