Throughput of port Azov up 18.1% to 2.96 mln t in Jan-May'16

In January-May 2016, seaport of Azov handled 2.966 mln t of cargo (+18.1%, year-on-year), the port Harbour Master Vladimir Bragin told IAA PortNews. 

In the reported period, transshipment of grain climbed 48.7% to 1.822 mln t. Transshipment of oil products fell by 9.7% to 763,000 t, coal – by 32.3% to 168,000 t.

In January-March 2016, internal turnover of Azov seaport climbed by 27% to 2.365 mln t, exports surged 47.8% to 1.951 mln t, imports fell 1.5 times to 75,000 t, coastal trade cargo – by 20.7% to 339,000 t, transit – by 7.5% to 601,000 t.

The number of arrivals/departures amounted to 1,085/1,089 against 947/969 registered in Jan-May'15.

Sea port Azov is located in the mouth of river Don.
