Ship forces of the Caspian Flotilla including Tatarstan missile ship, Uglich and Veliky Ustug small-sized missile ship, Volgodonsk small-sized artillery ship, Stupinets missile motor boat, artillery motor boats, Grachonok antisabotage motor boat, and different supply vessels performed tasks of the bilateral tactic exercise in northern and central parts of the Caspian Sea and started transfer to permanent locations – Makhachkala and Astrakhan, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
The exercise lasted for five days. More than 20 warships and supply vessels, 4 aircraft, and about 1,000 servicemen performed assigned tasks.
Ship crews also practiced repelling aerial strikes of simulated enemy in conditions of electronic warfare.
In course of the bilateral tactic exercise, ships and supply vessels performed more than 40 different combat elements and 30 tasks on countering underwater sabotage groups.
