Port of Singapore throughput up 1.2% to 490.22 mln t in 10M’16
Cargo volumes handled at the Port of Singapore in January-October 2016 climbed by 1.2%, year-on-year, to 490.22 million tonnes, the Port Authority statistics showed.
The volume of oil cargo climbed by 10% to 181.58 million tonnes, while non-oil bulk cargo fell by 2.7% to 97.24 million tonnes.
The port’s container throughput dropped by 1.7% to 25.56 mln TEUs.
Singapore is the city-state located on an island in the South-East Asia. In 2015, container traffic at Port of Singapore reached 30,92 TEUs, total cargo throughput was 575 million tonnes.
