Air defence crews, duty force of the Caspian Flotilla territorial centre and control centres of the ship formations took part in the joint exercise on repelling an air strike of conditional enemy, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
About 20 surface ships, motor boats and auxiliary vessels, including Tatarstan and Dagestan missile ships, Grad Sviyazhsk, Uglich, Volgodonsk, Makhachkala and Astrakhan small missile and artillery ships, were involved in exercise.
Special attention was paid to different types of target distribution as well as assignment of firing tasks to air defence ship crews through the communication channels.
The ship crews fired Palash and Palma air defence artillery systems as well as AK-630 artillery complexes in order to engage the assigned target.
