Crew of the Varyag Guards missile cruiser of RF Navy’s Pacific Fleet conducted artillery firing at coastal, sea and air targets, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
In accordance to the combat training plan, the ship crew successfully engaged targets, which had imitated firing positions, surface ship as well as air attack means of the conditional enemy, with AK-130 and AK-630 artillery complexes in the Bay of the Peter the Great. The firing was carried out at different distances in complex jamming conditions.
After the firing tasks, the servicemen jointly with Ka-27 helicopter crew practiced countering a conditional submarine. They also held EW, NBC protection, and damage control exercises.
