  Artur Parfyonchikov appointed as Acting Governor of the Republic of Karelia (photo)

  

  On 15 February 2017, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an Executive Order on Early Termination of Mandate of the Republic of Karelia. Following Karelia Governor Aleksandr Khudiulainen’s request to step down from office ahead of term, the President accepted Mr Khudiulainen’s resignation and appointed Artur Parfyonchikov Acting Governor of the Republic of Karelia.

  Artur Parfyonchikov previously held the position of the Federal Service of Court Bailiffs Director – Chief Court Bailiff of the Russian Federation.
