FSUE Rosmorport has announced a tender process for a contract with limited participation for the development of detailed design and construction. The construction contract named "Construction of Sea Port Infrastructure in the Seaport of Kaliningrad. International Marine Terminal for the Reception of Cruise Ships and Ferries in Pionersky, Kaliningrad Region", the Unified Procurement Information official website said.
The Customer – the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport of Russia.
Suggested Opening Bid (SOB) of the contract is RUB 7,388,365,190. The cruse terminal project will be funded through the federal budget.
The tender deadline – November 20, 2017.
The prequalification of bidders – November 22, 2017. The evaluation of bidders documents – November 24, 2017.
According to the Customer’s requirements the contract completion date is October 2019.
The FSUE Rosmorport press service said that the scope of works includes: land reclamation to create an artificial territory of 5.16 hectares; dredging of in excess of 1.2 million cbm of materials and deepening to designed seabed mark of 10.9 m; the construction of a protective hydraulic engineering structure with a length of 771 meters; the construction of two berths with a quay wall of total length of 725 meters for handling of cruise ships with the following dimensions: LOA – 317.25 m, Beam – 36.8 m; Draft – 8.3 m, and ferries with key particulars: LOA – 211.5 m, Beam – 30.4 m, Draft – 7.5 m; construction of a 110.2-meter-long berth for service harbour vessels; construction of onshore facilities of the sea terminal, including buildings of the passenger terminal, the port facilities and of the passenger terminal’s border crossing checkpoint (POE); construction of engineering support facilities and installation of navigational aids.
The new sea terminal in Pionersky will enable the region to boost passenger traffic to 305,000 people a year, and increase Ro-Ro volumes to 80,000 units, which will ultimately contribute to the dynamic development of the Kaliningrad region in seaborne traffic and cruise passenger transport.
In December 2016, Glavgosexpertiza gave the green light to the cruise terminal project (29.12.2016, No. 1482-16 / GGE-10751/04). On February 2, 2017 Rosmorrechflot (Order No. AP-14-r) approved design specifications and estimates of the construction project.
