In January-October 2017, sea transport hub of Taganrog handled 2,415,300 t of cargo (+26.9%, year-on-year), the Azov Sea Ports Administration told IAA PortNews.
In the reporting period transshipment of grain climbed by 25.8% to 1,166,700 t, coal – by 16.6% to 626,100 t, oil products – by 17.7% to 327,200 t, ferrous metal – by 33.6% to 104,200 t.
Exports grew by 17.2% to 1,549,900 t, imports – up 3.9 times to 86,800 t, coastal trade cargo – by 39.4% to 778,600 t.
In the 10-month period, the Harbour Master’s office of port Taganrog registered 664 arrivals and 645 departures versus 527 arrivals and 509 departures in January-October 2016.
