Throughput of port Kaliningrad in Jan-Oct'17 grew by 16% to 11.28 mln t
In January-October 2017, the port of Kaliningrad handled 11,288,700 t of cargo, up 16%, year-on-year, says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo more than doubled to 2,569,400 t including 725,200 t of coal (+43%). Transshipment of mineral fertilizers fell by 85% to 2,800 t with other cargoes showing an increase (up 2.9 times).
Transshipment of dry loose cargo dropped by 13% to 2,969,500 t, general cargo – down 13% to 1,062,300 t.
The port’s container throughput grew by 30.5% to 205,420 TEUs.
Transshipment of cargoes carried by ferries totaled 1,198,300 t (+16%), liquid bulk cargo – 2,517,900 t (+24%) including 1,381,300 t of oil products (+52%), 560,100 t of crude oil (-13%) and 526,200 t of food oil (+20%).
In 2016, the port of Kaliningrad handled 11.70 mln t (-8%).
