Hapag-Lloyd introduces an Emergency Bunker Surcharge on trades from Europe to Far East
Effective as of sailings of March 1, 2018 and valid until further notice, Hapag-Lloyd will introduce an Emergency Bunker Surcharge (EBS) on trades from Europe to Far East:
This surcharge applies to all new contracts coming into effect as of March 1, 2018.
The change of the update cycle has become necessary due to the strong bunker price development and Hapag-Lloyd reserves the right to change this update cycle anytime in the future.
The Ocean Tariff rates as well as Security-related surcharges, Peak Season surcharges (if applicable) and Terminal Handling Charges (THCs) remain unchanged respectively as announced. Other local charges and contingency surcharges may apply in addition.
