Throughput of Big Port St. Petersburg up 9% to 4.41 million tonnes in January 2018
In January 2018, Big Port St. Petersburg handled 4.41 million tonnes of cargo (+9%, year-on-year). According to the port authority, transshipment of oil products fell by 14% to 588,500 tonnes, dry bulk cargo – climbed by 9% to 698,200 tonnes, general cargo – up 26% to 1.13 million tonnes, transshipment of Ro-Ro cargo – up 76% to 79,900 tonnes.
The port’s container throughput increased by 7.9% to 158,341 TEUs.
In 2017, the port handled 53.64 million tonnes of cargo, its container throughput was 1.92 million TEUs.
