Throughput of port Kaliningrad in Jan'2018 grew by 11% Y-o-Y to 1.23 million tonnes
In January 2018, the port of Kaliningrad handled 1,234,800 tonnes of cargo, up 11%, year-on-year, says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo dropped by 28% to 182,100 tonnes including 94,400 tonnes of coal (+55%). No mineral fertilizers were transshipped in the reporting period while transshipment of other cargoes plunged by 55% to 87,700 tonnes.
Transshipment of dry loose cargo grew by 12% to 375,200 tonnes, general cargo – up 11% to 118,100 tonnes.
The port also handled 164,100 tonnes of cargo carried by ferries (+56%), 325,500 tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+37%) including 195,400 tonnes of oil products (+84%), 53,700 tonnes of crude oil (-17%) and 71,900 tonnes of food cargo (+22%).
The port’s container throughput declined by 2.1%, year-on-year, to 15,280 TEUs.
