The management of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company met with seafarers of Offshore Fleet.
According to the Company's press center, the meeting took place at the initiative of the Chairman of the Shipping Mr. Rauf Valiyev in order to address the concerns of the seafarers and answer their questions.
At the meeting held in a friendly atmosphere, the Chairman of Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company answered the questions of the seafarers. He stated that the Shipping Company has always been interested in improving social welfare of the seafarers and developing them as an experienced seafarer. According to him, in order to achieve these goals a number of projects currently underway and the process will continue in the following years.
Rauf Veliyev also talked about the realization of the strategic goals set up since the establishment of the Company:
"Certainly, we have made many achievements so far thanks to the seafarers’ diligence. But we still have a long road ahead. One of our main goals is a professional personnel training. Therefore, the experienced seafarers must help the young seafarers coming to the vessels to learn. We should consider, that the well-educated and young seafarers in our renewed and modernized fleet can lead to greater success", he said.
Moreover, Rauf Valiyev said that this year the Shipping Company celebrates its 160th anniversary. He added that a number of interesting projects will be implemented in the anniversary year and these projects will please the seafarers.
During the discussions, a hundred percent participation of the the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company delegation in the presidential elections held in our country recently was proudly mentioned. It was noted that Ilham Aliyev's re-election as the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan was welcomed by seafarers. It was emphasized that during his leadership in our country the seafarers were cared more than before and the Shipping fleet was significantly renewed. Consequently, now our vessels waves the Azerbaijani flag not only in the Caspian Sea, but also in the outer waters.
At the meeting the seafarers expressed their appreciation for the care and attention.
It was noted that meetings in this format will be held regularly.
