The fire caused by an explosion in the engine room of Regina Seaways ferry (flag of Lithuania) in Russian waters of the Baltic Sea has been extinguished, Kaliningrad port authority told IAA PortNews.
Representatives of RF Border Service and special services of Lithuania have arrived to the incident site. The rescue operation is coordinated by the Rescue Coordination Center of Kaliningrad.
335 people are onboard the ferry.
