Guard ship "Yaroslav Mudry" of RF Navy’s Baltic Fleet made business call in Limassol

A detachment of Baltic Fleet ships consisting of guard ship Yaroslav Mudriy, the sea tug boat Viktor Konetskiy and the tanker Yelnya carrying out long-range planned missions, went to replenish stocks in the Cypriot port of Limassol, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.

The visit plan provides for the replenishment of ship stocks to the required standards. Russian sailors will also have the opportunity to visit local attractions and relax on the shore. The call to Limassol is the first in a row since the beginning of the long voyage of a detachment of ships of the Baltic Fleet. During the sea passage from the Baltic to the Mediterranean Sea, ships covered more than 7 thousand nautical miles.

On the warship and ships of the detachment are anti-terror groups from the Baltic Fleet marines. In addition, "Yaroslav Mudry" carries on board the Ka-27 deck helicopter.

A detachment of ships of the Baltic Fleet, carrying out the planned tasks of a long voyage, left Baltiysk military harbor on October 1 and headed for the Indian Ocean.
