On 25 October 2019, Pella shipyard held a solemn launching ceremony for the medium refrigerator trawler «LEV» of Project 1701. The ship named LEV is the second vessel of 1701 design built for the FEST Group and the forth trawler of Project 1701 launched by the shipyard this year, the shipyard says in a press release.
The event was attended by Andrey Yakovlev, Acting head of the North-Western Department, Russian Federal Fisheries Agency; Yury Parshev, Executive Director, FEST Group; Sergey Kukhtik, Deputy General Director of Pella OJSC; representative of the following agencies and companies: North-Western Department of the Russian Federal Fisheries Agency, Agency for Strategic Initiatives, VTB Bank, Gazprombank, Alpha-Bank; shipyard management and personnel, students and cadets of industry focused educational institutions of Saint-Petersburg.
Ekaterina Kolodkina, Deputy Director, Economic and Financial Affairs, FEST Group, acted as the ship’s godmother.
The trawlers of project 1701 are intended for bottom and pelagic fishing as well as for fish processing onboard.

Leningrad Shipyard Pella was founded in 1950 and privatized in 1992. The holding incorporates a head company and a number of subsidiaries. The shipyard specializes in construction of tug boats for Russian customers.
