GWS installing turbines at Northwester 2 Offshore Wind Farm
Following the successful installation of 33 V164 8MW Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) at Deutsche Bucht Offshore Wind Farm, Global Wind Service has announced that it will be supporting MHI Vestas Offshore Wind with the provision of the company's experienced offshore installation technicians for the installation of 23x V164 9.5MW WTGs at Northwester 2 Offshore Wind Farm from November 2019.
Besides providing experienced staff for the installation phase, Global Wind Service is also supporting MHI Vestas Offshore Wind with pre-assembly activities on Northwester 2 through its setup in Vlissingen.

Northwester 2 is a 219MW Offshore Wind Farm being constructed in the North Sea off the coast of Ostend, Belgium. The offshore wind farm is expected to have a 25-year lifespan and to generate 818,60GWh of electricity; enough to meet the needs of approximately 220,000 households.
