    Throughput of Port St. Petersburg in 11M'2019 grew by 2% to 55.01 million tonnes

    In January-November 2019, the Port of St. Petersburg handled 55.01 million tonnes of cargo (+2%, year-on-year). According to the port authority, transshipment of oil products grew by 5% to 8.96 million tonnes, dry bulk cargo – climbed by 8% to 8.16 million tonnes, general cargo – down 13% to 10.87 million tonnes, transshipment of Ro-Ro cargo – down 14% to 1.11 million tonnes, handling of loose cargo declined by 2% to 283,200 tonnes including 386.100 tonnes of timber (+24%).

    The port’s container throughput increased by 5% to 2,045,445 TEUs.

    In 2018, the port handled 59.32 mln t of cargo, its container throughput was 2.7 mln TEUs.
