In January-September 2007, net profit of shipbuilding plant “Zaliv” totaled UAH 3.4 million. In January-September 2006, the plant’s net loss amounted to UAH 10.7 million, the company’s press center reports according to RBC-Ukraine. In the reported period, the yard’s output in comparable prices totaled UAH 108.8 million. Sales grew by UAH 69.2 million, year-on-year, to UAH 121.5 million.
Shipbuilding plant “Zaliv” is one of the largest shipbuilding and ship repair plants of Ukraine. It specializes in construction of tankers and container carriers as well as in repair of different vessels. As of today the plant is booked till autumn 2009 for some EUR 60 million.
