Transport service total volume amounted to 36 billion Rubles in January-September 2007. Increase is 8,5% in comparison with this period of the last year - it is over 2 billion Rubles.
As the Primorsky Territory Administration press service reported to RIA PrimaMedia, it's related to increased volume of cargo transportation by car (7,1%) and by railways (14,5%). Also cargo flow between the main Primorye transport knots - Vladivostok, Nakhodka, Vostochnyi and Yuzhnyi - increases.
As the Territory Administration Transport Department experts note, increased volume of cargo transportation speaks about stirring up Territory economics and domestic production volume.
Passenger turnover growth also influenced transport service increased volume. In particular, passenger turnover on the sea transport increased 4,4 times. Increase on air and motor transport is 14,5 and 27% respectively.
