Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov called a hostile takeover of the Kremenchug oil refinery “an armed outrage, Itar-Tass reports.” Ivanov hopes that the Ukrainian authorities will take all measures to settle the situation and pledged that Russia would pay attention to the conflict.
“This incident is a blatant fact and cannot be left unnoticed,” Ivanov said at the Friday meeting of the governmental committee for industry, transport and technologies. He voiced concerns over the nonfeasance of the Ukrainian authorities. “The takeover does not mean powerlessness,” Ivanov said.
