Latvian Shipping Company (LASCO) has signed a contract with Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co to build four ice-classed tankers on 52,000 DWT per unit, Scandinavian Shipping Gazette reports according to RZD-Partner.
LASCO has earlier taken delivery of four ice-classed tankers on 37,000 DWT per unit from the same shipyard. The new deal is worth around USD 200 million. LASCO has a fleet of 37 product tankers, two LPG-tankers, five reefers and one ro/ro-vessel.
