PSA International, the world's second-largest container port operator, and International Port Holdings won European Union approval for a venture to build a terminal in the UK. The European Commission, the EU's antitrust authority, announced the approval in a statement yesterday.
The two companies will build the container terminal at Great Yarmouth Port, PSA International had said in a statement on May 30. The Singapore-based company will own 60 per cent of the joint venture with International Port owning the remainder.
