The strike of Tuapse port workers resulted in accumulation of over 30 trains at RZD stations, press center of Russian Railways reports. Over 1,000 wagons with coal and over 800 wagons with grain are waiting for unloading. Besides, the port’s storage facilities accepted cargo discharged from 500 wagons. The port of Tuapse is the only Russian Black Sea port to export coal.
The strike of Tuapse port workers will result in loss of tens millions of rubles for Russian Railways. RZD has applied to the Ministry of Transport with a request to assume urgent measures. The strike started on November 4 and continues despite judicial restraint.
