Russia's trade surplus stood at $106bn in January-September 2007, down $22.7bn, or 17.6 percent, compared to the same period a year earlier, the press office of the Russian Federal Customs Service reported Friday according to RBC. Foreign trade surplus amounted to $90.5bn with countries outside the CIS (down from $113bn in January-September 2006) and $15.5bn with the CIS (down $15.7bn).
Russia's trade amounted to $379.6bn in the first nine months of 2007, up 20.3 percent from the same period in 2006. Trade with CIS countries stood at $58.3bn (up 24.2 percent), and trade with other countries outside the CIS totaled $321.3bn (up 19.6 percent).
