The bodies of three men have been found on the Tuzla Spit in the Sea of Azov, sources from the regional centre of the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations reported on Monday, Itar-Tass reports. Specialists believe they are crewmembers of the dry cargo vessel Nakhichevan, which sank during a severe storm on Sunday.
However, ministry sources have stressed that identification must be made first before it will be possible to say for sure who the dead men are.
All in all eight seamen have been missing from the dry cargo vessel. The search for five more crewmembers continues. Three helicopters, 26 search-and-rescue vessels, as well as border troops participate in the search operation.
