Qingdao container volume to surpass 9 million TEU

Port of Qingdao's container throughput is estimated to reach the level of nine million TEU or 260 million tons by the end of this year.
On October 27, the northern China port's container throughput surpassed 2006's annual volume of 7.7 million TEU, said Xinhua.
Besides Qingdao, the port of Rizhao, which is another major port in Shangdong province, also saw its throughput surpass last year's volume at the end of October to reach 111 million tons.
