Backlog of orders of Vyborg Shipyard exceeds RUR 60 billion

Current backlog of orders of Vyborg Shipyard OJSC exceeds RUR 60 billion, Valeri Levchenko, the yard’s Director General told journalists according to RBC. Basic part of the above sum is ensured by the order of Gazflot LLC (Gazprom subsidiary) for construction of two drilling platforms (RUR 58 billion). The con is to start in late spring – early summer 2008 after metal is purchased. The delivery of the first platform is scheduled for October 2010, the second one – for March 2011.

Vyborg Shipyard is also building a platform for Sea Dragon Offsore. The contract’s value is $70 million. Besides, the order of Norway-based Karmsund Maritime Services AS valued at $500 million for building a supply vessel is planned to be completed by December 2007. Within the month the yard will also send grand-blocks to Finland for cruise liners ordered by Aker. Besides, the shipyard is building an accommodation module for a semi-submersible platform ordered by Sevmorneftegaz CJSC (Gazprom subsidiary) and to be delivered to the customer in the first quarter of 2009.

Vyborg Shipyard OJSC specializes in construction of sea platforms for development of the fields at the self as well as in construction of small and average capacity vessels. The company’s authorized capital totals RUR 213,684 divided into 373,948 ordinary and 53,420 preferred shares with a nominal value of RUR 0.5 each. AKO BARRS Group holds 75.6% of the company’s stock.
