Azerbaijan State Caspian Shipping Company to transport Chevron oil from Jan 08

From January 2008, Azerbaijan State Caspian Shipping Company will commence transportation of Kazakhstan oil owned by Chevron, Day.Az reports citing Aidyn Bashirov, head of Azerbaijan State Caspian Shipping Company. “In January, the volume of transportation will make 25,000 tonnes, while by the end of the year it will climb to 2 million tonnes. Besides, we plan further growth of volumes in view of promises given by Chevron to ensure 5 million tonnes of crude per year,” Mr. Bashirov said.
