Transshipment of oil products in Latvian ports up 1.2%, crude – up 25.7% in Jan-Oct 07, y-o-y

In January-October 2007, the ports of Latvia increased transshipment of oil products by 1.2%, year-on-year, to 17.93 million tonnes, crude – by 25.7%, year-on-year, to 2 million tonnes, Latvian Communications Ministry informs according to RZD-Partner. In the reported period, the port of Ventspils handled 13.89 million tonnes of oil products (+6.9%), and 1.83 million tonnes of crude (+27.5%), which makes 77.5% of total volume of oil products handled in Latvia. The port of Riga handled 4.12 million tonnes of oil products, Liepaja – 445,600 tonnes of oil products and 170,000 tonnes of crude oil.
