Storms closes Romanian ports

Florea Rasica, a traffic controller in the main port of Constanta, told Reuters that “manoeuvres on all Black Sea ports are suspended due to heavy winds.”
It was unclear when the ports would be allowed to resume normal operations.

The collision involved the Cambodian-flagged Nika and Russian-registered Volgodon-5076. There were no reports of injuries or fuel spills.
Meanwhile, efforts are continuing to limit the damage caused by the fuel oil spill that following the break-up of the tanker Volgoneft-139 in the Kerch Strait in storms early this month.
The environmental damage caused by the spill has been described as 'catastrophic'.
