MOL, 'K' Line add Qingdao to Asia-Mexico, South America service

MOL and "K" Line have added a direct weekly port of call at Qingdao to their Asia-Mexico/West Coast South America container service, called CWL.
A statement issued on behalf of both Japanese shipping lines said that the decision to expand the port coverage of the CWL service was motivated by the expectation that Qingdao's hinterland in Shandong province has the highest potential for growth in north China in terms of export cargo production, import cargo processing and local consumption.
The first sailing to be affected by the change will be undertaken by the ship, the Andes Bridge, which is scheduled to depart from Qingdao on November 22, 2007, voyage number: 8505e.
The amended port rotation for the CWL service is: Keelung (Taiwan), Hong Kong, Chiwan, Xiamen, Shanghai, Qingdao, Pusan (Korea), Manzanillo (Mexico), Buenaventura, (Colombia), Callao (Peru), Iquique (Chile), Valparaiso, (Chile), Lirquen (Chile), Yokohama (Japan), and back to Keelung.
