CIMC sets up Chongqing plant with 100,000 TEU annual output

China International Marine Containers Group (CIMC) has opened a subsidiary in Chongqing to operate a plant that will produce 100,000 boxes a year starting in March, Xinhua reported.
The newly-established CIMC (Chongqing) Logistics Equipment Manufacturing Co Ltd with registered capital of US$8 billion will produce various type of containers and other logistics equipment, the report said.
The 200,000-square metre plant, in Gangcheng Industrial Park, will invest $30 million to set up container production, the report said.
