A resolution passed by the Federation Council that appointed the next presidential election in Russia for March 2 will be published on November 28, Speaker of the Upper House Sergei Mironov told journalists on Monday according to Itar-Tass.
Mironov said he would send a notification to the editorial offices of Rossiyskaya Gazeta and Parlamentskaya Gazeta, instructing them to reserve space in the newspapers for the publication of the resolution on November 28. Thus, November 28 has been set as an official start of the presidential campaign in Russia.
Under the Law on Election of the Russian president the resolution of the Federation Council should be published within five days after it was adopted.
