The Shinec-Vinashin industrial complex, covering a total area of 320 hectares, was established in September 2006. Total investment for infrastructure facilities is estimated at VND 750 billion. This is designed to be a general industrial complex for enterprises working in the shipbuilding industry, construction, agriculture, warehouse construction and trading.
The Shinec Shipbuilding Industry Holding Company says it will reserve 15 hectares for construction of a wharf which can accommodate ships of up to 6,500 tonnes; three hectares for office and trade centre and five hectares for luxurious apartments.
In addition, a sewage water treatment centre, a safe water plant with a capacity of 10,000 cubic metres of water a day, an information centre and other services facilities will also be built.
