The conglomerate said net profit for the nine months to Sept. 30 climbed to 14.4 billion Danish crowns ($2.86 billion) from 11.4 billion in the same period of 2006.
The firm, which runs the world's largest container shipping operator, said it expected full-year net profit about 20 percent higher in dollars than the 2006 result of $2.7 billion, unchanged from the view in its half-year report published in August.
