Ukraine, Russia sign protocol on demarcation of Azov, Black Seas

On the results of a regular round of talks in Kiev on the demarcation of the Sea of Azov, the Black Sea and the Kerch Strait, the delegations of Ukraine and Russia coordinated the passage of the middle line in the Sea of Azov, the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported on Friday according to Itar-Tass.

The delegations also entrusted experts with coordinating the draft demarcation line of territorial seas, the continental shelf and exclusive economic zones in the Black Sea reflecting it on a map-scheme.

The sides discussed some aspects of preparations of bilateral agreements that will regulate the issue of shipping, fishing and protection of sea media and ecological security in the Sea of Azov, the Black Sea and the Kerch Strait.

On the results of the talks, the sides signed a corresponding protocol.
