Hamburger Hafen nine-months net profit up 45.2 pct on strong container traffic growth

Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA), operator of Hamburg's ports, said its net profit during the first nine months grew 45.2 pct to 110 mln eur on strong container traffic growth.
The company, which completed an IPO on Nov 2, said its revenues in the nine months ending Sept 30 grew 17.5 pct to 871 eur mln.
For 2007, HHLA expects to substantially exceed the 2006 operating result and forecasts revenues will grow by more than 10 pct.
The logistics company did not provide a specific earnings forecast for 2007 in its annual report 2006.
In 2006, HHLA posted revenues of 1.02 bln eur, operating profit of 186.8 mln and net income of 116.9 mln.
