Special economic zone will be created in Primorye on Vostochnyi Port base, vladivostoktimes.com reports.
Primorsky Territory Administration established a work group to realize this project. Its Head is the Vice-Governor Pavel POPOV, as Primorsky Territory Administration reported to RIA PrimaMedia.
As Primorsky Territory Transport Ministry reported, port special economic zone (PSEZ) is being created in accordance with amendments to law "On special economic zones in Russian Federation" ratified in October 2007. The document stipulates tax concessions, subsidies from budget money, foreign trade preferences and simplification of some administrative procedure for working companies (PSEZ residents). The Transport Ministry experts note that preferences will help to return those part of world cargo flow that is meant for coastal ports by logic of route optimization but goes to certain states.
