In November 07, Murmansk Commercial Seaport OJSC handled 1.174.140 million tonnes of cargo (+21%, year-on-year), the company’s press center reads. In the reported period the company handled 18,207 wagons including 14,542 wagons loaded with coal and 47 vessels.
The volume of export cargo handled by the company exceeded the results of the previous year by 19.7% to 1.125.077 million tonnes including 873,700 tonnes of coal, 147,400 tonnes of apatite, 26,400 tonnes of non-ferrous metal. Transshipment of general cargo totaled 81,400 tonnes (123.3% against the same period of the previous year, dry bulk – 1.092.7 million tonnes (+21.2% year-on-year). In January-November 2007, the port of Murmansk transshipped 12.955.209 million tonnes of cargo. It handled 191,218 wagons and 512 vessels.
