RZD loading up 2.5% in Jan-Nov 07, y-o-y

In January-November 2007, Russian Railways OJSC increased loading by 2.5%, year-on-year, the company’s press center informs. The highest growth was demonstrated by Kaliningrad branch (+24,5%), Far East branch (+18.1%), Krasnoyarsk branch (+7.6%), Sverdlovsk branch (+6.6%) and South-Urals branch (+5.0%). In the reported period, loading of high-paying cargo grew by 2.8%, average-paying cargo – by 6.9%. Loading of cars climbed 31.5%, grain – 25.1%, metal structures – 18.4%, containerized cargo – 5.4%.
