Tianjin port handles 35pc of Henan's container cargo

Tianjin port has been handling 35 per cent of the container volume of Henan province after customs authorities in Tianjin and Henan signed an agreement at the end of 2005, Xinhua reported.
Tianjin port also handled 30 per cent of the total foreign trade cargo volume Henan, the report said.
Tianjin customs and Zhengzhou customs signed a regional deal in November, 2005, allowing customs application at Zhengzhou and cargo releasing at Tianjin, which helps reduce clearance time of Henan cargo via Tianjin from three to seven days to seven hours, the report said.
