Shidao port and Longyan port in Shandong's Rongcheng city handled 70,399 TEU in the first 10 months of this year, an increase of 35.7 per cent year on year, Xinhua reported.
Rongcheng cargo volume for foreign trade grew 54.7 per cent to 857,600 tons from January to October this year, representing for a foreign trade value of US$2.04 billion, a strong growth of 78 per cent year on year, the report said.
Simplified and more flexible 24-hour customs services at Rongcheng helped to boost the growth of cargo transportation via local feeder ports, the report said.
