Russian Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov has called for the adoption of a special sub-programme for the development of Chukotka, Kamchatka, Sakhalin and Magadan, Itar-Tass reports. It is necessary to give special attention in it to issues of taxation, including consider a possibility of creation of a special economic zone on Sakhalin and Kamchatka.
Zubkov made this statement at a government meeting on Thursday at which he shared with the colleagues his impressions from his recent trip to the Far East.
