Throughput of Yeisk port (Krasnodar region) up 32% in Jan-Nov 07, y-o-y

In January-November 2007, throughput of seaport Yeisk (Krasnodar region) grew by 32%, year-on-year, to 4 million tonnes, press center of the regional transport and communications department reports according to Yuga.ru. <!--[if !vml]--><!--[endif]-->

Commercial seaport of Yeisk was built in 1904 in the South-Eastern part of the Taganrog Bay of the Sea of Azov. The port specializes in transshipment of export and import cargo in the direction of the ports of the Black and Mediterranean Sea Basins. The port accepts service-and-river going vessels with a draft of up to 4.5 meters and displacement of up to 5 thou tonnes. The port’s facilities are capable of handling 3 million tonnes of cargo per year. Five stevedoring company operate at the port: Yeisk Sea Port OJSC, Derectory – New sea port LLC, Yeisk-Port-Vista LLC, Yeisk-Priazovje-Port CJSC, Yeisk port elevator OJSC.
