In January-September 2007, Novorossiysk Commercial Seaport OJSC handled 58.7 million tonnes of cargo (-3.8%, year-on-year), the company’s press center reports. According to the source, the company’s proceeds grew by 76.5%. However it should be taken into consideration that in June 2006 Novorossiysk Commercial Seaport consolidated a number of stevedoring companies, the financial results of which were included into consolidated reports of Novorossiysk Commercial Seaport from the third quarter of the year.
According to Igor Vilinov, Director General of Novorossiysk Commercial Seaport, the results of the 9-month period confirm the efficiency of the company’s strategy: increase in productivity through development of high-efficiency facilities, focus on high-profit cargo, consolidation and introduction of new port complexes.
