Trade turnover between Russia and South Korea exceeded $10bn in 2007, Konstantin Pulikovsky, the head of Russia's Federal Service for Supervision of Environment, Technology and Nuclear Management, said during today's meeting of the Russian-Korean joint committee on economic, scientific, and technical cooperation, RBC reports. He pointed out that the total trade between Russia and South Korea had more than tripled from 2001 to 2006.
Pulikovsky noted that the amount of goods exported from South Korea exceeded that of Russia's exports to the republic. He also stressed the importance of carrying out intergovernmental agreements on cooperation for space exploration and in the fuel and energy industry.
